This time the Lewes Lions held a personal needs drive at the Walgreens in Lewes April 17. The event was a huge success and the donations filled the truck, and cash donations of $200 were also received. SUBMITTED PHOTO Each year, the members of Xi Sigma Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, Lewes, vote for the member they feel has best exemplified the attributes of the sorority, and who gave the most time and effort to its activities, fundraisers and programs. Barbara Henriksen of Rehoboth Beach was selected as the chapter’s Girl of the Year. Henriksen joined the sorority in 1964 in Bowie, Md., and later transferred to the local chapter after moving to this area. She has held all offices in her chapters, and she recently received an award from the international office for 54 years of perfect attendance at meetings. ....
