religious crowd, this is the message they want to hear. and trying to figure out a way to deal with another issue is the issue of the former president, trump, and his indictment and legal issues. do you think this issue is going to be something they re going to be able to figure out how to deal with? on the candidate side we ve seen most of the candidates trying to avoid talking about it. you saw in a recent interview mike pence goes to great lengths not to name the former president, only to say the former president or refer to him vaguely. it s a complicating factor for the candidates. you don t want to criticize the former president and alienate his base who you need to advance. even though the latest polls show donald trump taking a dip, he still leads by a mile.
talked about enough. but if you want people to talk about the deficit and debt, i have a piece of advice. get a democrat elected president because nothing will make people talk about the debt and deficit faster than a democrat being in the white house. no, no, no. what you re really saying is when republicans are in control, democrats will talk about it. when democrats are in control, republicans will talk about it. what i m saying is i just got done watching through two preferential debates on the democratic side and there was not one question from the moderator side or a candidate side on deficit or government spending. and i m listening to the president who says i will not touch any of the things that drive our debt and spending. so i m simply saying oh my goodness, if you look at the numbers, this problem is not our grandkids problem or our problem, this is our problem and it s going to come in the next couple of years. and if we don t tackle it before the next presidential race
