The centre aims to create an India-specific cancer genome database to identify biomarkers for early detection and drug response. The data could also help identify drug targets for new therapies. The centre will also develop a 3D organoid model for disease monitoring and drug screening. The interdisciplinary effort aims to improve healthcare infrastructure in India.
