A tree fell on to wires blocking highway 116 in Sonoma County this morning. The westbound lane was closed for nearly half an hour about 6 30. Cal trans was able to reroute traffic while crews cut down the tree and cleared the road. The highway was back to normal a couple hours later. The overnight rain helped bring down an oak tree in san rafael. The homeowners said it felt like an earthquake. They were lucky. The tree missed their house. We have another little area of rainfall moving onshore down in the Santa Cruz Mountains but this is again, widely scattered, seems to be winding down and the circulation has shifted.
