ZEELAND Zeeland Public Schools is seeking community input as it begins the search for its next superintendent.
The district is looking for a new chief after current leader Calvin DeKuiper announced his plans to retire earlier this month. DeKuiper announced his decision, effective June 30, during the district’s board of education meeting Feb. 15.
The board’s search is being conducted under the direction of Mark Dobias, a consultant for the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB). The district has created a page dedicated to the superintendent search on the district website.
A community survey was announced Thursday, Feb. 25, and is available on the website until 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 10.
