hello, i m ben thompson. welcome to the daily global, where we ll bring you the top stories from around the world. for the first time since the war between israel and hamas began, dozens of injured palestinians have been allowed to leave gaza, via the rafah crossing into egypt. these pictures from egyptian media show what they say are the first foreign nationals to cross. palestinian and egyptian officials say at least 320 foreign passport holders have crossed into egypt from southern gaza. the foreign office says british nationals will start to be taken out in stages over the coming days. the territory was besieged by israel after it was attacked over three weeks ago by hamas, which is classed as a terrorist organisation by the uk and other western governments. in northern gaza, another large airstrike has hit jabalia, a day after an israeli attack killed dozens of people in the same refugee camp. there s been no comment from the israeli military, but it did say 15 of its so ....
