Today, while scraping up ice and snow from my driveway, I began an annual ritual, singing along with Terry Cashman’s opus: “Talkin’ Baseball”-  a paean to America’s game mentioning some of that game’s greatest from “Willie, Mickey and the Duke” to Jackie.
One of the things I love most about Doins is the opportunity we have to spread good news and cheer. Something that happens at this time annually is the exit from Boston of the Red Sox “truck.”
This year the unofficial holiday for the Fenway faithful took place on the Feb. 8 as it carried 20,400 baseballs, 1,100 bats, 200 batting gloves, 200 batting helmets, 320 batting practice tops, 160 white game jerseys, 300 pairs of pants, 400 T-shirts, 400 pairs of sox, 20 cases of bubble gum and 60 cases of sunflower seeds plus a myriad of other necessary items for the veterans and rookies of our olde town team. ....

Seacoast Steps Up To Support Red's Good Vibes Food Truck


The pandemic has created some really difficult circumstances, it s true, but in some cases, it birthed an opportunity and a dream come true for three Seacoast siblings.
According to an article in the Union Leader, Caitlin McGrath-Levesque, Meghan McGrath and Michael DuPont founded Red s Good Vibes in March of 2020, right when the pandemic hit hard in honor and inspired by their brother, Robert Red McGrath who died suddenly in 2017.
Red s Good Vibes operated out of a warehouse in Greenland for almost a year and they delivered groceries to 80 & 100 families per week to the Seacoast area, the Union Leader report states.  All families need to do is to call (603-312-5045) and let them know how many people in the family and where you would like the food delivered. ....
