NEW DELHI: New inductees in the Union Cabinet like Bhupender Yadav, Sarbananda Sonowal, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Ashwini Vaishnaw and Narayan Rane have got a leg-up as they have been included in important cabinet committees, which have been reconstituted ahead of the monsoon session of Parliament beginning July 19.
Union ministers Virendra Kumar, Kiren Rijiju, Anurag Thakur will be new members of Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, headed by defence minister Rajnath Singh.
Smriti Irani, Bhupender Yadav and Sonowal have been included in the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Cabinet Committee on Security is unchanged as its composition remains the same as before. Same is the case with the Appointments Committee, which clears appointments in the rank of joint secretary and above. The government today reconstituted all Cabinet committees, giving a major break to younger ministers.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur and Law Minister Kiren Rijiju have been included in the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, replacing their predecessors Prakash Javadekar and Ravi Shankar Prasad.

Union ministers Arjun Munda, Virendra Kumar, Kiren Rijiju and Anurag Thakur have been included in the rejigged Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, according to a notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat on Monday night.
