In the 2019 edition of the paper’s Golden Plates edition, the Gastown restaurant made it to the top three of the most popular barbecue places in town. Named after the late Sam Peckinpah, a legendary American filmmaker known for gritty movies like The Wild Bunch and The Getaway, the establishment opened in 2010.
