PHILADELPHIA, Penn. - The Clemson Tigers impressed in the first day of Penn Relays as Marie Forbes secured first-place in the women's hammer throw to be tabbed the event champion in Philadelphia. Forbes throw of 63.49 marked a new season best for the Tiger as she has continued to thrive this outdoor season. Going into the weekend, the mark would have been ranked No. 22 in the nation. Alongside Forbes, a few other Tigers on the women's side entered their names or improved their overall marks on Clemson's all-time list as the team will look to continue building of Thursday's success for the remainder of the weekend.
