Begin in a standing position
Squat and place your hands on the floor
Kick your feet back while simultaneously keeping your arms extended so that you are in a plank position
Perform a push-up
Drive both of your knees back underneath you into a squat position
Lift your hands off the ground, stand up, and jump with your arms above your head
Land and repeat for the prescribed number of of repetitions.
Despite the relative simplicity of this movement, it packs a punch in its ability to spike the heart rate and quite literally bring you to your knees. A case can be made, however, that this exercise may not be the best use of one s time and is, in fact, quite overrated. Breaking the movement down into smaller, more simple exercises could prove more effective.
sit-ups and do about 100 burpees. after that, i kick back, watch tv for a little bit and after chow i come back and i ll either do some beadwork or i ll watch tv but usually i do some beadwork and 7:00 go to night yard and that s my time to go out and walk around. after yard i got tv programs on from like 9:00 to 11:00 that i like to watch. i ve been beading for about a year. trying to learn all i can about different stitches. it s very intricate. one mistake you have to take the whole thing apart. this is the most recent one i made. it s a bear claw. a little thunderbird in here. it takes me out of here. it relaxes me. it s a good pastime. when i came to prison, i left behind a pregnant wife. now the mother of my son. right after he was born i saw him through the glass. i didn t get to hold him or nothing. i have to wait till i get out. that s my son ethan and my stepson sebastian.
going to crawl under the barbed wire, do five burpees. if we could skip the rope i think i could do this. how long? 17 miles. takes over the top girls will do it in three hours. how does that make you feel empowered as a female to do something so physical, it s also mentally draining to do a race that long. it s great. like joe said, life sometimes seems a little easy and i think people are looking for something to challenge themselves. we re here in new york city with everything at our fingertips and sometimes it feels good to push our bodies. nice and gritty. modern life can be boring. it really is for everyone. i went to my 25-year class reunion last night and i met so many people from my class that i see on spartan courses we got to go. we ll see you in a little bit as we run the course. somebody get a medic.

initiate a lockdown at any time, revoking yard privileges for all inmates, making the in-cell workout their only option. they call it burpees workout. we do different kind of stuff. we do burpees. we do abdominals. we do arms. tomorrow we get yard. we only get yard two times a week. that s our routine every day. we get bored. and we don t know what to do, so we work so working out is wasting the mind out, you know what i mean? my english is not too perfect. so after, that birdbath and everything, we wait for chow. it s just wasting time.
