When he came back from his military experience, he ended up getting his dlit, a little higher than a graduate degree, at a scottish university, the university of st. Andrews, earned that in 1952, came back in 1953. Strangely enough, his dissertation became this millioncopy bestseller, this book called the conservative mind, which the timing was just right. It hit the market from a chicago publisher, ended up going hrough seven editions over its lifetime, and it really did give there were a number of disparate voices that i would just say were not leftist.
