That means at least 24 of afghanistans 34 provincial capitals are now in taliban hands. The news comes, as u. S. President Joe Biden has authorized sending A Thousand more troops to afghanistan. Thats on top of 4,000, already, cleared for deployment. Theyre meant to help get u. S. Personnel and their allies out of the country, as the taliban offensive rolls on. Now, that swift advance has triggered an exodus. Thousands of people, trying to escape the taliban have fled To Kabul and thats putting even more pressure on a weakened government, surrounded by enemies.
