Welcome to the national building museum. My name is jeanne, on a Volunteer Tour Guide for the museum. We are here today to go through what we call the president ial inaugural tours. We do this every four years, at inauguration time. Because this building which was built as a federal Office Building, over 120 years ago turned out to be a wonderful place to have inaugural balls. What we want to do today is explain to you how this building got built, and its history and how it ended up being so representative of the inaugural motion if you will. And how it is now being used. Then we will show you some pictures of the inaugural balls, and history of them and put the two together and show some pictures of how the space looks when in fact the inauguration will fall is occurring in it.
