nearly 20-hour standoff with the gunman who shot and killed a delaware state trooper has come to a dead lid end. deadly end. the gunman was killed after coming out of the house and engaging police. the standoff came after corporal stephen ballard was shot and killed in bear, delaware. chopper 6 hd was over the scene this morning. the house was heavily damaged during the police operation. all the windows and doors and parts of the walls are blown out. jeanette reyes joins us with details how the standoff came to an end. jennette. reporter: sarah it has been a morning of organized chaos is the best way to put it. some of the residents saying this is something out of a movie. for hours throughout the night and this morning, they heard gun shots and explosions and choppers overhead and loud bangs. it ended in the fatal shooting of the suspect. there s a lot of going on 3 hours after the suspect was shot and killed. in the distance you can see the crime scene tape up now. there
