Today we actually watched the press conference with leaders from the local antiDomestic Violence groups. They say it is a great first step but need more help on the local level. Id like to make a few points. The philadelphia Domestic Violence collaborative meets once a month. Today they are meeting and watching the nfl press conference. Representatives from congreso, women against Domestic Abuse, the lutheran house and others agree that they are glad that Roger Goodell is holding himself accountable and putting things in place to hold players accountable, too. It will be fascinating to see what concrete things happen as a result of this. The dream of civilians soaring into space as paying passengers could be on hold tonight after the deadly crash of a Virgin Galactic space plane over the california desert today. Its the second accident involving a commercial spacecraft in this country this week. One crew member is dead, another was badly injured in todays crash which occurred during a test flight over the Mojave Desert just after the craft separated from its mother aircraft. These images appear to be an explosion and pieces of debris tumbling to earth. Nbcs tom costello has been covering the rapid growth of commercial space flight. Visibility is good through south jersey and even in philadelphia right now but as we go in through tomorrow morning the fog will continue to spread across the area and in some areas like the Lehigh Valley it will be locally dense. Heres future visibility so as we go into the Early Morning hours 8 00 we expect areas at least north and west of philadelphia to have a mild visibility or lower around the philadelphia area a couple of miles and closer to the shore it should not be as bad but the areas inland will be watching for the morning commute. Back to the west a big line of storms moving into parts of the eastern half of the country from the southeast strechg tching up the great lakes.
