They are up there investigating what, exactly, happened. As you mentioned, the officer was called here to check out a situation and things went terribly, terribly wrong. Fired at the suspect striking him. I ran out and seen this man on the ground and an officer on the side. Reporter Michelle Harris said she heard the shots and recorded this video that shows the suspect on the ground. She looked like she had blood on the side of her face. Something did happen but it was so extreme. Reporter neighbors tell abc 7 news the man was a regular in the neighborhood often sleeping wherever he could, sometimes being combative with those who try to get him to move along.
