welcome back. the former president arrived to the courthouse a little over an hour ago via underground garage. he has already been booked and digitally fingerprinted. he is expected to plead not guilty to a 37-count indictment. mr. trump is accused of mishandling classified documents containing sensitive defense secrets about everything from nuclear programs to potential military vulnerabilities. while he s not expected to stay much many court today, trump has been saying plenty of social media. he s posted nearly a dozen times on the case just in recent hours and that includes multiple attacks on the essential counsel, jack smith, calling him a thug and accusing him of planting evidence all while police are keeping a close eye on the crowds gathered outside the courthouse in miami for the arraignment. but so far, no problems there. seems to be relatively peaceful. let s bring in our panel for how hour. ari is back with us as is andrew weissman, former lead prosecutor in
here is what we know at this moment. the former president has been federally indicted on seven charges, it s all in connection with trump s handling of classified documents discovered at his mar-a-lago resort in florida last year. sources tell nbc news that those charges include false statements, conspiracy to obstruct and even one charge relating to the espionage act. we also know that trump has been summoned to appear in a miami court this tuesday at 3:00 p.m. along with the special counsel s team. secret service agents are meeting today with trump s team to begin logistics planning. we don t know the specifics of those charges as those are still under seal, but speaking on the today show this morning one of trump s lawyers made clear how the former president plans to respond. he was upset for the country, but in terms of him, he is a fighter and he is going to come out swinging and he will be fine. he will appear in court on tuesday, no doubt. he is not afraid of thi

both the search warrant and the inventory receipt. the wall street journal appears to have already seen both. the paper is reporting the fbi took 11 sets of classified documents from mar-a-lago, including one set of documents marked as tssci documents. that means top secret, sensitive, compartmented information. in other words, some of the most sensitive material the u.s. government says it has. stuff that is only meant to be seen in special government facilities. this would jibe with what multiple outlets have been reporting already, that the d.o.j. was looking for highly classified documents at mar-a-lago and potentially with what the washington post, citing sources familiar, with that knows documents were about nuclear weapons. if so, that would explain the urgency behind the search. nbc has not confirmed the washington post reporting and we have not confirmed the wall street journal reporting but we all could be about to. the warrant and inventory list could be un
