26-year-old Ashton TY Harper and 39-year-old David R. Webb were booked in the Wayne County Jail last night. Harper was wanted on an IDOC warrant and was held for IDOC transport. Webb was arrested on a charge of domestic battery, and he was also wanted on a Wayne County warrant for deceptive practice. He was held, with bond set at $300 for the warrant. ....

26-year-old Kendall L. Einhorn was taken to Clay County Hospital after a single-vehicle accident near Enterprise yesterday morning. Wayne County deputies say he was northbound on Enterprise Road, ramped off a ditch embankment, went airborne over a county roadway, and came to rest after striking another embankment. A tow truck was called to the scene, and the vehicle sustained over $1,500 damage.
The Grayville City Council met last night and discussed a ban on planting trees, shrubbery, or other flora in public right-of-ways. Some members felt small ornamentals could be fine, but others said things planted today could be problems tomorrow. The council will move forward with developing the language for the ordinance before holding any vote. ....

The Cisne Village Board met last night and said it is still looking for a new city utility employee but has not yet received an application for the position. It also heard reports on several grants that have been received for expenses for the city water filtration and sewer systems, and it said four oak trees and two maple trees would soon be placed in the town square.
The Grayville City Council met last night and heard more information will be gathered regarding an ordinance dealing with parking recreational vehicles on city streets. The council also heard that a deal on a grocery store that had been in place has fallen through, so it will not come to Grayville as had been planned. Work will continue on finding a store for the city. ....
