i m megan mcgrath live in harp percent ferry. if you look behind me you can see the damage caused by this early morning fire. this is the business district along high street. all four historic buildings were destroyed. actually, that s my shop. history up in flames in harpers ferry. cindy dunn s shop the vintage lady is no more. the building which dates back to 1840 is now a burned-out shell. what this has done not just to me personal le but to the fabric that is harpers ferry is devastating. reporter: flames raged through a section of the historic business district on high street this morning. four buildings, home to several businesses and apartments were destroyed. it is quite a blow to this tight-knit community. when it actually phappens in a small down like this it is affected. now who the poor people are. you know everybody. reporter: while the loss of property is extensive, cindi dunn takes comfort in the fact that no one was hurt. people love this town. i
now. i m megan mcgrath live in alexandria where you can see behind me the search continues for a 16-year-old who went out fishing with friends on little hunting creek. he went into the water to swim to the other side of the creek but he never made it back to shore. it is a beautiful spot where little hunting creek meets potomac river, popular with anglers. this morning, there are police boats instead of fishermen, for the search of a missing 16-year-old continues. the coast guard brought in their search and rescue chopper, boats equipped with sonar are searching the water. shortly after 8:00 last night when a teenager went into the water trying to cross from one side of the creek to the other. he got about halfway before he began to struggle by the channel marker where the water gets deep. the current was going out at that time. he was drifting out. while he was struggling, he then submerged again and was not seen above the water. complicating the search, underwater pla
