Its like a skating rink out there really. Although you saw the radar quieting down, the damage is done. It will remain slippery with that icy glaze north and west of boston through about 9 00 this morning. Until the temperatures come up above freezing mark. You can see south of boston right now, it is up to 50 degrees in plymouth. Were in the 40s on the cape but from boston to beverly were at freezing. As you head to the north and west temperature s are in the 20s right now from bedford to lawrence. You can see up toward nashua as well. Just a little bit of pink showing up. We have light freezing rainfalling with the temperature of 25 in keene ....
Few hours here north and west of boss top. Thats why we have this Winter Weather advisory through 9 00 this morning. That icy glaze from freezing rain literally making travel hazardous this morning. There is a huge difference in temperature depending on where you are. Look south of boston. It is in the 40s to near 50 degrees. From the city of boston on north and west we are at or below the freezing mark and that is a problem. We have seen things dry out a little bit so were not seeing much additional precipitation right now until we get out into northern worcester county, Southern New Hampshire with patchy light freezing rain. With temperatures below freezing it is very icy out there right now. You can see the radar is beginning to quiet down but there is more moisture down to the south. Theres also warmer air. As we go through the day, the temperatures will come up. ....
Emily and im emily riemer. Cindy, we look at the pictures, the snow and the ice. Some place s are in the 50s right now. Cindy south of boston it is 50 degrees right now. Well all be up in the 50s eventually today. But the concern is the word eventually because right now we still have icing problems north and west of the city of boston from the freezing rain we had overnight. Its created an icy glaze. I expect hazardous travel to continue north and west of boston through about 8 00 or 9 00 this. You can see why. Temperature in town has jumped up to 35 degrees. Notice south of boston its near 50 degrees. I wanted to go in tighter. Marshfield 52. 53 in taunton. As far north as nooraniwood it is 49 degrees but north and west of the city, notice all the 20s locked in tight here around the merrimack valerie up to nashua. Back along northern parts of Worcester County its all in the 20s and a thousand feet up at the airport in worcester ....
