Baby Girl Delivered By C-Section After Mom Was Shot Died On Wednesday

Sadly, the baby girl delivered by Caesarean section after her mother was critically shot on the night of April 28th died today. Her mother, Laquisha Terrell, 23, died Tuesday from complications of gunshot wounds to her chest, abdomen and legs.

Terrell s ex-boyfriend, Brian T. Mitchell, 23, is jailed on one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder. The attempted murder charge in relation to the child will be upgraded.
Terrell s boyfriend, Michael Stewart, 28, was wounded during the gunfire at Cedar Pointe Apartments in Antioch. He is now recovering at home.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A baby girl has died two weeks after being delivered in an emergency C-section after her mother was critically injured in a shooting, according to Metro Nashville Police officials.

Mitchell was charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder. Police say the attempted murder charge for the child will be upgraded.
Stewart is recovering at home.

A newborn baby is dead after spending two weeks in extremely critical condition following her mother s shooting, Nashville police said.
Laquisha Terrell, 23, was shot in the chest, abdomen and legs on April 28 and died Tuesday, the Metro Nashville Police Department reported. Her baby girl was delivered by emergency C-section shortly after the shooting.
Terrell s boyfriend, 28-year-old Michael Stewart, was also shot, MNPD said. He is now recovering at home.
Police arrested Terrell s ex-boyfriend, Brian T. Mitchell, 23, on April 29. Mitchell faces both criminal homicide and attempted homicide charges, records show. MNPD said it will upgrade an attempted homicide charge in relation to the baby to a homicide charge.  ....

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville Police officials say 23-year-old Brian T. Mitchell is now charged with criminal homicide in the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend.

Officers found Terrell and Stewart on the ground with gunshot wounds and rushed them to the hospital. On Tuesday Terrell, who was pregnant, died from her injuries. Stewart is recovering at home. The baby remains in critical condition.
Mitchell was arrested the next day and is being held in lieu of $1.5 million bond. He was initially charged with three counts of attempted murder, but police officials say one of those counts has been changed to criminal homicide following Terrell s death. ....

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Nashville Police officers arrested and charged a man with three counts of attempted murder after they say he shot his ex-girlfriend, who was pregnant, and her current boyfriend.
Brian T. Mitchell, 23, allegedly shot 23-year-old Laquisha Terrell and 28-year-old Michael D. Stewart just before 11 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Pointe Apartments on Cedar Pointe Parkway in Antioch.

When officers got to the apartment complex, they found a pregnant Terrell on the ground with gunshot wounds to her chest, abdomen and legs. Her boyfriend, Stewart, was also on the ground with gunshot wounds to his chest and hip. ....
