On the holy day of prayer and fasting, four Poplar teenagers broke into a church and caused extensive damage, according to Tulare County sheriff s deputies. At 5 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were called to the 18900 block of Avenue 144 for a burglary at the Iglesia Del Pueblo Church. When they arrived, deputies found the front and back doors were broken and the church had been ransacked. Church members posted a video of the damage on social media. They broke tables, chairs, and with knives damaged sanctuary seats, the church s Facebook post stated. The suspects forced their way into the church through locked doors and caused about $15,000 in damage, according to deputies. The thieves then took about $15,000 worth of music equipment and other items. ....
