Kai Brown and Lounes Foudil scored the goals as Town’s table-topping U23s beat Watford 2-1 at Playford Road. Brown gave the young Blues the lead in the 24th minute before Marley Blair pulled one back for the Hornets, but sub Foudil sealed the victory 12 minutes from time.
Town boss Mick McCarthy is considering giving striker Ben Folami his first Championship start at Brentford on Saturday or in one of the Blues’ other remaining games and he says defender Barry Cotter, who signed from Limerick in January, could also be involved with the first team before the end of the campaign.
