The Honorable C. Clarke Judge Raley, 78 of California, MD passed away peacefully at his home on January 16th, 2021 surrounded by his beloved family. Clarke was a lifelong resident of St. Mary s County and served this community in a legal capacity for over 40 years. He was born on January 9th, 1943 in Washington DC to Charles Emmerick Raley, and Wilma Jean Raley. Clarke was one of three brothers, he attended St. Michael s school and later graduated from Ryken High School in 1960. Clarke met his high school sweetheart Barbara Ann Puchetti, of Piney Point, MD on the school bus. Clarke and Barbara married in 1961, while Clarke went to the University of MD and he obtained his Bachelor s degree in 1964. During this time, Clarke and Barbara had two children, Charles Christian and Jeanne Marie Raley. James Bubby F. Spalding, 86 of Leonardtown passed on December 10, 2020 at the Med Star Hospital in Leonardtown, MD. James F. Spalding better known as Bubby was born December 24, 1933. He, his two brothers, and one sister grew up with their parents in Leonardtown, Maryland. He enjoyed childhood and teen years playing sports in school and spending time on the water, boating, swimming and crabbing. In 1952, he graduated from Margaret Brent High School, joined the Army and served 3 years; 26 months of his service in Africa. After the Army, he began his career as a technician, a Federal Government job at the Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, Maryland. During his career, he was a member and served as President of the Southern Maryland Pioneers, a non-profit organization supporting children with disabilities.

Deceased = Watts, William Clarence :: So. Md. Obituary

William Clarence Watts, 92, from Breton Bay, in Leonardtown, died Saturday, December 05, 2020, at St. Mary s Hospital. Born July 29, 1928, on his Mother s birthday, in Andover, MA. He was the son of the late Merrill C. and Isabella Leuchars Watts. He was raised and attended school in Andover. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Force immediately after graduating from Punchard High School in 1946. He went to basic training at SAACC in San Antonio, TX, then was trained in Boca Raton, FL, as a Radar Mechanic/Operator for Ground Controlled Approach Radar systems. He was stationed at Lajes AFB, in the Azores Islands, a mid-Atlantic refueling stop, during the Berlin Airlift. He was honorably discharged with the rank of S/Sgt in 1949. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the American Theater Ribbon and World War II Victory Medal.
