In the end, it was a victory. And that’s the most important takeaway. “We got the first one out of the way,” Capital City coach Brett Skinner said Monday after the Lady Cavaliers topped the Battle Spartans 6-3 in Central Missouri Activities Conference softball action at Capital City High School.
The Capital City Lady Cavaliers have set the standard. Now they are ready to take the next step. The Lady Cavaliers have won more than 20 games each of the past three softball seasons, but a district championship has eluded the program through its first four seasons.
