Rodent droppings on shelves, 10-15 dead cockroaches: Lancaster County restaurant inspections

The following Lancaster County restaurants were found to have violated Pennsylvania’s health and safety regulations during inspections between March 14-20.
Inspections are overseen by the Department of Agriculture. The department notes that in many cases violations are corrected by the restaurant before inspectors leave.

FLOUR CHILD, THE
Violations: The Person in Charge does not have adequate knowledge of food safety in this facility as evidenced by this non-compliant inspection. Observed flour spillage beneath the table for bags of flour. Food facility has an employee who held a Certified Food Manager certificate; however, the certificate has expired and is no longer valid. The employee is scheduled to take a Food Manager course at the end of the month.
