Something on your screen that needs attention right away. There is slow traffic, steve. Im going to show you the traffic time on one of the busiest commutes in the bay area. To the maze it is taking 48 minutes. When you get past the 48 minutes you will see a backup waiting for you getting into San Francisco. It is backed up now all the way out to the maze. That is another 20 minutes. So we are taking a little bit more than an hour to get into San Francisco. ....

Many of you that drive early in the morning, may have seen it on the freeway. And lets go ahead and listen now to what we heard and saw. A loud bang coming from the scene of the fire. Earlier, when we started at 4 00 this morning, we heard a loud explosion, actually it came from the tires of three cars that were parked nearby, to this Apartment Building. And that is what you possibly heard this morning. And then there is also a portion of the building that has collapsed. Now, there is some concern, there is a crane, also, nearby, and quite frankly, fire crews tell me that they are surprised that this crane hasnt fallen, and they were concerned, because earlier, when this fire started, it was seen swaying back and forth. Lots of fog and maybe a little mist for you. And a little more yesterday. Temperatures, even if its clear, some coolness here. Lows dipped into the 50s. Fog in place. Temperatures continue to be where they should be but it is a cooler pattern, for sure. Some 80s in land, but a lot of 70s. Some areas along the coast will get some sun, as they did yesterday, but it will take longer to warm up. You get the west wind, usher in that fog, you 50s for everybody here. Upper 40s for a few. Woodside, a cool 47. 50 in stanford. Nenlo park at 51. Right in the ballpark there. Picking up again, 25 to 30 miles per hour. So no change there. Moving towards the great plants or corn belt. But next couple of day, after today, were going to warm up. We do get a little bit of fog bank. Water temps continue to be on the cool side. So that helps. More of a westerly component to that breeze. 50s on the temps. They will be cooler today by about 5 or 7 degrees by some. Boater creek, scots valley, low 50s, san martin in there. Except for the fog, theres lots of sign. But there is a bigger fog bank so that will translate into a cooler pattern. I had a couple of reports of a little breeze in antioch. 80s now for most. 60s on the coast. We do have slow traffic now, steve. In the silicon valley. Northbound 280 getting in towards the west valley now from downtown san jose. Youll see slow traffic coming up. Its not that deep. As we put it on the maps, on 280 does get busy up to highway 17 but after that, it looks pretty good. Likewise on 101, slow to the central expressway and breaks free into the ride for mountain view.
