The International Boxing Association and the European Boxing
Confederation have warned that teams competing in the Eindhoven Box
Cup in the Netherlands will not be allowed at the 2023 Junior European
Championships.
The International Boxing Association has warned the Dutch Boxing
Federation that it will have to face "repercussions" if they hold an
"unsanctioned international event in Eindhoven".
The International Boxing Association has suspended the National
Federations of New Zealand, Germany, Sweden and The Netherlands for
their ties to the breakaway governing body World Boxing.
International Boxing Association President Umar Kremlev has launched a
scathing attack against the newly formed World Boxing before claiming
that only his organisation has the "right to govern boxing".
The International Boxing Association has published a list of
"eligible" boxers, including Russians and Belarusians, for the
European Games in Kraków-Małopolska, even though athletes from that
country are banned from the event and the governing body have no
involvement in organising the competition.
