Fort Walton Beach Krewe of Bowlegs 66 Honor Guard set for duties Special to the Northwest Florida Daily News/USA TODAY NETWORK Bob and Tracy Brown Bob was lucky enough to meet Tracy, a Fort Walton Beach native, in Birmingham Alabama. They met while Bob was selling wine and Tracy was managing a restaurant in Five Points South.  After moving around a bit, they settled down in Plano, Texas, to raise their three children: Brandon, Natalie and Nicholas. Once the older two had moved out of the house, they were blessed to be able to move home and have been living in Shalimar for almost two years. 

Torchlight Parade in Fort Walton caps off Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival

Staff report The Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival wrapped up Monday night with the annual Torchlight Parade up Eglin Parkway. Thousands lined the streets for beads, candy and trinkets as they cheered on the Krewe of Bowlegs pirates and other parade participants among the estimated 60 floats and vehicles. Judges named winners in four categories: Truck Rye-Land Lawn Care; Car  Fort Walton Beach Women’s Club; Float  Mardi Gras Club of Fort Walton Beach; and Krewe  Krewe of Bowlegs. The event was organized by the Greater Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Step One Automotive Group.
