Oklahoma City’s largest hotel, the Omni, opens Tuesday with the task of drawing locals while the convention market recovers from the ongoing pandemic.
Steve Keenan, general manager, believes the hotel across from Scissortail Park has what it takes to make the sale.
The 605-room, 17-story Omni was planned and designed to serve as a convention hotel. The hospitality industry has been hit hard by COVID-19 with conventions being canceled or delayed throughout the country.
“We’ve been hindered by the pandemic,” Keenan said. “The key is to have people travel into Oklahoma City to see what it’s all about and if we can do that, we believe the convention business will pick up. ....
