city. now authorities in several cities here in the u.s. are stepping up security. let s go live to cnn s brynn gingras live. let s see what they have to say about what happened. that is what they are saying at this point right now. they are reporting six people killed. eight people injured which took place during a time of prayer at the islamic culture center. of those at the hospital, they are in critical condition. authorities report 39 people who were inside the mosque were able to escape unharmed. now police say two people were arrested. authorities are saying on social media that the situation is now under control. it is being investigated as you said, alison, as a terrorist attack. witnesses said it was a coordinated attack. authorities have not released a motive or further details of what happened in the mosque. it is unclear. this is not the first time the mosque has been targeted. leaders reported a hate crime in june when a bloody pig s head was set at the door o
