We went out the back, out of the back yard and we ve seen the stucco from my neighbor s house popping off of it from the heat and we ran around the side of the house and went up the street. as we opened our gate to go out in the street, the fence was already on fire. can i just ask you, bob, were you, when you first saw what happened, was there panic? were you screaming for everyone to get out? what was going on? at first i thought something happened like a plane crash or something, but then you didn t hear anything until the explosion happened, which made me determine it must have been something along the lines, you ve seen shows with like gas leaks and stuff like that. this was a really intense flame, though. nothing like i have ever experienced or seen in my life. i hope i never see again. mayor bob went through a very scary situation because he wasn t sure what happened to his brother that was in the house ....

Fireball shooting flames hundreds of feet in the air. this all taking place right in the middle of a working class neighborhood. asphalt melted and the sky turned black from billowing smoke. you could feel the heat from several blocks away and this fire lasted all night long hopscotching from one home to another. it is believed it ripped through a water main even making water mains unusable. by night fall, this fire was barely getting under control and this morning search crews are actually going to send dogs in to see if anyone was able to survive that blast. we ll know more as the day continues. chris, back to you. joining me now, san bruno mayor and bob pelligrini who lost his house in the fire. gentlemen, first of all, thank you so much for being with us. it is so good to see you both okay and well. bob, let me start with you ....
