Police say he was hit by an out outbound muni train. Moments after this happened at 3 00 this afternoon, we were able to talk with a few people who say they knew the man who was killed. They say he is homeless and stored his backpack under the back peak. Multipeople said the man was trying to get to his backpack and was hit by a light rail train. Police say paramedics arrived but he was pronounced dead at the escape.
