People have invested in providing comments to us today and this is clearly an emotional project for a lot of people and its been an interesting time during covid but one of the best lessons weve learned is that we dont have enough open space for people to recreate and people dont have access to outdoor space and myself included. I dont have a backyard where i live and there are many people in that predicament and having lived at 48th and lincoln i know what a refuge that area is. When i lived there, i went everyday to that area and it was always busy. Everyday no matter what the weather, there were people recreating and having bonfires on the beach in night and people saying hello and being friendly with one another. San francisco was petrified and they did a great job at golden Gate Park but the portion where cars were rushing through were scary for us and so i think if were going to take a chance to do a pilot, it makes sense to do it now before people re adjust it back to behavior t
