Al Eby, a representative for Visit Woodland and an organizer for the 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. event, said organizers did not take this decision lightly and addressed concerns expressed by the community through social media.
“The 109-year-old Almond Festival is back for 2024.” the Esparto Regional Chamber of Commerce’s website emphasized. “The fun does not stop in Esparto. Every town up the valley will be offering their own twist on the Almond Festival, so you will want to be sure you won’t miss a thing.”
On Thursday morning, before Thanksgiving day festivities kicked off, hundreds of go-getters around Woodland gathered in front of Blue Note Brewing Company at 750 Dead Cat Alley for the annual Turkey Day Fun Run.
