The Out of the Blue streaming series from Blue in downtown Portland is still going strong, and on Friday night, you can catch a show from Britt Connors. The Boston-based singer-songwriter and her band, Bourbon Renewal, carved out their own “y’all-ternative” genre with a sound that blends rock, country, roots and a New Orleans street-parade vibe. Connors’ most recent album is last year’s “Longitude,” home to 11 tracks that bounce from pop to rock to gospel-infused Americana. Your toes will be tapping to “Beaufort Breakdown,” you’ll sway to the moody “I Told You So,” and you’ll waltz ’round your living room to the ballad “Lay My Head.” ....

A Kyle Morgan livestream concert is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, via Blue Facebook page; free, donations appreciated.
Blue invites you to spend part of your Thursday night streaming a performance from the singer-songwriter. Morgan is originally from central Pennsylvania, and he recorded his debut album there while bussing tables at an Olive Garden. He then took on the moniker Starcrossed Lovers and released two more albums. These days, he’s back to recording under his own name and calls Queens, New York, home.

MAINE CONNECTION: The album was produced by Portland’s Jonathan Wyman who helms This Sounds Good. It was recorded at The Halo studio in Windham. What’s more, the latest single, “And So It Went” features nearly 30 students from the Maine Academy of Modern Music singing towards the end of the song. The Pretty Reckless is a rock HUGE band based technically out of New York City but in fact singer Taylor Momsen has been living in Maine for about seven years.

The Waldo Theatre invites you to virtually join a multimedia evening with Halycon & Friends. The show features violinists Sophie and Josie Davis and Colin Wheatley on viola in collaboration with cellist Nora Willauer and violinist and videographer Luke Fator. The winter celebration show is one of lovely chamber music with an accompanying film that shows the beauty, quiet, subtlety and darkness of winter, and the program includes Vivaldi’s spellbinding “Winter” from “The Four Seasons,” along with Richter’s “The Nature of Daylight” and pieces by Shubert, Debussy, Price and others.
