Social Share Organiser of the Pull Up 4 Philip fundraising campaign Shekita Walcott says they have raised $75 000 to date. Since the drive-thru event which was held in the car park of the Power in the Blood Assembly in St Michael for Philip Small Jr last week Saturday, Walcott said their target was $190 000 target. “We raised about $50 000 during the drive-thru. Some people opted to do online banking and that was about another $25 000, so over $75 000 was raised. But of course, our target is $190 000, so we still have a long way to go but we are grateful for the contributions we received so far,” Walcott said. ....

Social Share It is time for the faithful to get back in the pews, say some church leaders, but Anglican Bishop of Barbados Michael Maxwell is advising caution until there is a decrease in the number of active COVID-19 cases in the country. Barbados has reopened on a limited basis following the almost month-long pause in February, but churches are still only permitted a maximum of ten people for worship or to facilitate online services, as COVID-19 cases continue to mount during a second wave and community spread. ....
