His dyslexia was so bad he had to return to school to study in his 20s for the exams that he simply couldnt pass when he was there the first time. So even in the classroom, i was quite liked. i got on with teachers and i had lots of friends. it s quite painful for me to reflect back on that time and think if i had actually been quite disruptive, if i d been throwing chairs around the classroom, i probably would have got a lot more support. but the fact is i kind of blended in, but the one bit where i really just switched off from learning was where a teacher was reading shakespeare and then just stopped mid way through a page and just said, peter, why don t you just finish off? and i remember thinking at the time, why? because they would have known that i wasn t good at reading, but i did get to my feet and it was one word at a time and i was so humiliated. and when you get nervous, it gets a lot worse. and the teacher thought it was the funniest thing. the teacher was laughing as i was doing it. but when you look at when i looked around, most of my friends were just sitting there as humiliated as i was, which was nice but it was ....
Seven years to finish it, we saw that he was a different person. he was ready to take care of his wife, kate. he was ready to take care of matthew who is five years old. how the rules of all thin each of the families, that was the amazing thing that i was able to both watch, film and ended in the two other families, to really understand what i was going to, personally, about my role changing. you know that, as you are a care giver. once a caregiver, always a caregiver, right? you will always have that skill, katie. you will never forget it. it goes with you everywhere, with your show, your ndc, out when you re talking to communities, that experience is right there with you. they were showing me that lesson, and that s why it s so important. well, richard lui i m inviting everybody who s tuning in, and letting everybody else know that they need to tune in and watch this because it is a very personal journey with that ....
