There will not be additional load-shedding in Karachi in the summers, K-Electric CEO Moonis Alvi has promised.
We will try not to suspend power during sehar and iftar, he said in a press conference on Thursday, pointing out that the overall load-shedding in the city will not exceed seven hours.

At least 75% of the feeders providing electricity to Karachi would be exempted from loadshedding during Ramadan, K-Electric announced Thursday.
The power utility added that on the occasion of Eid, the entire city would not face any power outage.
KE s Chief Marketing and Communication Officer (CMCO) Sadia Dada, addressing a press conference alongside the company s chief executive Moonis Alvi, said a 220 KV double circuit project in Jamshoro has been completed with the help of the National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC).
The spokesperson said NTDC has allowed KE to add 450 MW to its system, following which, a total of 1,100 MW electricity would be provided to Karachi. ....
