They were walking close to the Fleet when they were charged by the cows. A spokesman for Wyke Regis Coastguard said: The second tasking of the day came in just before 1600. We were tasked on the request of Weymouth and Portland Police. Two females were stampeded by some young heifers in a field near Berry Knap, close to the Fleet by Higher Barn, New Barn Farm. We were tasked because first reports placed the two uninjured females in a more precarious position than they were having being chased towards the Fleet. With assistance from the farmer, both were located and escorted to safety none the worse for their ordeal.
Fortunately neither of the women were injured and they were lead to safety by the farmer. The stampede took place in a field near Berry Knap, close to the Fleet.
