The Niger Delta Development Commission has said it has zero tolerance for corrupt practices and that any member of the public who has any evidence of such against it should reach out to the commission.
A group, South-South Elders Progressive Forum (SSEPF) in Delta State has written to President Bola Tinubu over an alleged N6 billion bribe paid by some people to retain their positions in the dissolved Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Board. The group also accused the management of the commission of extorting 30 per cent of contract sums from contractors.
SSEPF decried that the high hopes of the natives of the Niger Delta, who hold the key to ensuring unhindered crude oil and gas production, had begun to diminish.
