Tautog are in bunches and bingeing, and while the striper has slowed with average catches falling into the schoolie category, anglers are still finding the occasional bigger bass by throwing eels into marshes and rivers at night.
While tautog continue their tear along the South Shore and South Coast, the freshwater bite is picking up with pike, salmon, rainbows and lakers binging.
While hot fishing for big tautog continues in Buzzards Bay, schoolie and slot-sized stripers are blitzing on peanut bunker and chasing herring fry along beaches and river mouths.
