Just into cnn. new details about donald trump s plans tonight while his republican presidential rivals are debating without him. cnn s kristen holmes is in new jersey for us right near trump s bedminster resort. what are you learning, kristen? reporter: wolf, we are told that trump is at his bedminster resort surrounded by a small group of aides and advisers. most of his team is in milwaukee around the debate that trump is skipping. it is likely trump is going to watch at least part of the debate and the coverage. we are also told that he has been floating the idea of calling into various news networks and shows after his interview with tucker carlson airs. as we had previously reported, it is a pre-recorded interview with the former fox news host as part of this counter-programming measure. and it s likely to be about an hour and released on twitter just around the time of the debate. again, this is prerecorded so don t expect a lot of breaking ....
