The Baylor baseball team proved they can win close games too.
More often than not this spring, the Red Raiders have used an explosive offense to score lots of runs, winning most of their games by 10 runs or more, but that wasn’t the case at Baylor’s Wyatt McMahan Field Wednesday night.
Facing arch-rival McCallie for the third straight day, Baylor completed a sweep of the Blue Tornado, but unlike the first two games where Baylor rolled by scores of 10-0 and 8-2, Wednesday’s game was a classic battle between two really good high school baseball teams.

The Baylor baseball team checked off another significant milestone they’ve achieved this spring as they clinched first place in the Region with Tuesday night’s 8-2 victory over arch-rival McCallie.
It was Baylor’s second-straight victory over the Blue Tornado and it was just a little bit closer than Monday’s 10-0 Red Raider victory at Baylor.

If you want to see what a great high school baseball team looks like, maybe you should make plans to go see the Baylor Red Raiders one day soon.
Without a doubt one of the best – if not the best – teams in the Chattanooga area, the Red Raiders can do it all. They have at least five or six guys who are better than average pitchers and they have an entire lineup and more who can hit and hit for power.
