In 2012, I was deployed to the Afghanistan-Pakistan border to serve alongside Green Berets and infantry soldiers. As a member of an all-female cultural-support team, I was trained to interact with Afghan women and children, something that is culturally inappropriate for men to do. At the border, we encountered mortar attacks, improvised explosive devices, and firefights. Even though this time was tense, we worked well with our colleagues in U.S. Special Forces, in part because prior to our arrival, the detachment commander had set the conditions for our success. He told his men that he expected everyone to behave as professionals, to treat us as they would any other members of the team. He would not tolerate any form of discrimination, harassment, or assault. Thanks to his leadership, and each man’s respect, I didn’t feel marginalized.

Capcom revealed more details and a new trailer today for their upcoming release of
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings Of Ruin. The news came out during the April Monster Hunter Digital Event held on Twitch and YouTube, as they revealed that Lilia and Reverto will be returning to the series. The duo is on a brand new mission to capture your companion Razewing Ratha before it can awaken its destructive power, which has been foretold in the prophecy of the Wings of Ruin. Capcom held a digital event yesterday fully dedicated to the Monster Hunter franchise. Fans of the series who tuned in have learned more details about the developer s upcoming Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin game.
Along with new trailers and gameplay for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, Capcom offered players a first look at two returning characters from Monster Hunter Stories, as well as a brief overview of the strategic overhaul to the turn-based combat system.
In Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, players take the role of a young Monster Rider who can use a Kinship Stone to form strong bonds with monsters. The first two major characters revealed in the trailer, Lilia and Reverto will be returning from the original Monster Hunter Stories.
