Bathinda, Aug 11: Armed men snatched a rifle from a police constable at Bathinda Cantt police station and fled in the wee hours of Friday. They were riding in a black Skoda car. Police have been looking for the accused. It is learnt that these miscreants fired shots in the air to rob some people ....
As per information, the men had made a failed snatching bid on doctor near Bhucho Khurd after which police had set up a checkpost to nab them. When signalled to stop, the men, who were in a Skoda car, tried to run over the guard and eventually snatched the rifle after a scuffle. ....
