May 13, 2021 KEARSARGE Vernon Lawrence Leblanc, 89, a resident of Kearsarge, died on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, following a long and healthy life. He was born in Lake Linden (Bootjack) on January 6, 1932, the son of the late Peter and Clara Fournier LeBlanc. He attended the St. Joseph Elementary and the lake Linden Public School. He was preceded in death by both sons, Peter (Barbara) LeBlanc, and Bruce (Lorry) LeBlanc; his siblings, Isabelle (Roland) LaCasse, Anne (Peter) Cencich, Clarence (Betty) LeBlanc, and Ransom (Joanna) LeBlanc. On October 3, 1952, he married Susan Lehto and they enjoyed 68 years together. Vern went to work for the Calumet & Hecla but was drafted into the Korean War and served 14 months there in the motor pool. He returned and went to Detroit and worked for Senco Products, from service-man to district manager, for 23 years, retired and worked for the Hahn Co. for 10 years. Gardner holds its first phase 2 COVID-19 vaccination clinic at PACC

About 450 shots were given out in the first of planned twice-weekly sessions Gardner News GARDNER The city officially kicked off phase 2 of its COVID-19 vaccination plan with a clinic at the PACC for residents 75 and older on Feb. 4. The clinic, which distributed about 450 shots, was organized by Heywood Healthcare, and several hospital staff members and volunteers were on hand to ensure the operation ran smoothly. Heywood Healthcare President and CEO Win Brown greeted patients at the door of the PACC’s banquet hall and directed them to the sign-up desk. He said organizers hopes to begin vaccinating about a 1,000 residents per day during future clinics at the PACC every Tuesday and Thursday. But the date of the next clinic will be announced as soon as the city receives its next shipment of vaccine, Brown said.
