First of all i think the inversion critique is an odd one. I hate it. Its terrible. Its just a terrible precedent. Its really awful. Its going to do all these distortions and then its not going to do anything. I dont think its going to do as much as i like it to do, as much as, say, lebanon or schumer or some proposed legislation which is right with you tax partly. Or i should say the optimal way. The absence of a functional political system of congress can get around those obstructionists and work together, i think administration has a very important responsibility to try to protect the tax base and will be negligent if they decide not to. Which brings me to another disagreement, territoriality is somehow the long way to go. I would point out to listeners of this discussion, a very Important Initiative thats being undertaken by countries called beps, continually trying to adjust to avoid the very kinds of these erosions, base Erosion Profit shifting. This country to country to how an

Less. Bottom line up front. Okay . There in the back. Theres microphone so we can all hear you. Thank you. My quick question really here is comments on lebanon and how its impacting this current fight. Nobody seems to talk about it much. Nigel i know just did an article about drone usage by hezbollah, which i thought was interesting. Oh, lebanon. Okay. Yeah. Well, there is a small contingent of militants inside of lebanon who have made some noise for many years, but there are not a lot of them. The number of them particularly down south have been coopted by the government. Ere were fears early on that a lot of this contingent was going to be activated by the war in syria. In fact, the whole society was going to go down the tubes. That is still a worry and the longer that the war goes on the more that worry increases. But i have been really surprised at lebanons resiliency, actually, whether you attribute that to actors we dont like, like hezbollah keeping a lid on things, or whether yo
It is my hope i know the president would welcome us. I hope their team will realize that it is not just a matter of welcoming. They should realize it is more likely to work out better if they do it with congress. The pay for, very tough question. We have a cr as well as a syrian authorization on the training of equipment, but we will have to grapple with a longerterm appropriations, not another cr. I am fully expecting, as part of that for there to be funding requests. But that is another reason why congress should debate the stuff up front. We ought to be asking the question, how much will it cost and how are we going to pay for it . Iraq and afghanistan were the first wars that United States decides to do on a credit card. Iraq and afghanistan were the first to where we said, we can kind of do this, members of Congress Kids wont get drafted now. We can get blackwater or a thirdparty to do stuff we dont want to ask troops to do. There has been a progressive executive overreach by putt
