10 Jan 2021 House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is accusing the rioters who stormed the U.S. Capitol this week of choosing “whiteness over democracy.” The California Democrat spoke in an online video to her San Francisco-area constituents to criticize the rioters that attacked Congress Wednesday as it met to certify President-elect Joe Biden’s electoral victory, the Associated Press reported. “It has been an epiphany for the world to see that there are people in our country led by this president, for the moment, who have chosen their whiteness over democracy,” Pelosi said. Pelosi and House Democrats are aiming to start voting on a clean slate of impeachment procedures against President Donald Trump as early as this week. ....
Supreme Court takes a pass on holding a violent agitator accountable. Wed Jan 6, 2021 While Americans were preoccupied in the fall with the presidential election, the Supreme Court quietly let Black Lives Matter agitator DeRay Mckesson, an outspoken apologist for political violence directed at police, completely off the hook for the vicious maiming of a police officer at a rowdy protest he organized. Mckesson, of course, is on record as favoring mob violence against police officers. At a July 9, 2016 protest that social media star Mckesson (who has a million followers on Twitter) unlawfully led onto a highway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the police officer involved suffered brain trauma, a head injury, and lost teeth after an unknown assailant threw a rock or piece of concrete at him. Mckesson, who had encouraged people to block Airline Highway outside the city’s police headquarters, managed to extract a cash payment from the city over his alleg ....

The fatalities included two people who had allegedly come to Baltimore to sell a gun and “two women were gunned down Sunday night at the intersection of Old Frederick Road and South Kossuth Street.” The Baltimore City FOP criticized the shortage of police officers in Baltimore, as well as the lack of a concrete plan to fight crime in the city: ....
Print Associated Press A former Baltimore pharmacy owner pleaded guilty to paying a hitman to kill a witness in a drug distribution case. Frankford Family Pharmacy owner David Robinson, 52, pleaded guilty to federal murder-for-hire charges Thursday, The Baltimore Sun reported. Robinson previously plead guilty to dispensing painkillers before attempting to pay someone to kill a witness in the case, authorities said. Prosecutors said a source told authorities that a pharmacist was filling out fraudulent prescriptions. The source later made controlled purchases from Robinson between January and July 2016 using blank prescriptions provided by the Drug Enforcement Administration. After Robinson was arrested, prosecutors said he asked the source to kill a witness in the drug case, agreeing to pay $10,000, with half up front, for the murder. ....
